René Ter Horst is one of the founders of The Mind Connection. He is an innovative performance artist interested in the working of the mind and in multimedia production, with a focus on 3D content. In 1994 he created his first brainpainting, a painting produced by the EEG signals of his mind. Since then he developed many virtual 3D worlds to be explored with the MindSurfer. Lately he is occupied with performances and interactions in online communities. René uses the MindSurfer to animate virtual environments and the behaviour of his avatar in Second Life, directly with the EEG signals his mind produces.
